It’s been a while since the last issue The Little Things, and I’m happy to be back. Life is still quite busy, which is why it’s good to sometimes take a step back and remember the nice little things. Today is all about spending some quality time with good friends.
I was in Vienna a couple of weeks ago visiting a friend. It was great to get a few days together to hang out and catch up.
We’ve never lived close to each other, so our friendship is based on long-distance phone calls and messages. We’re used to seeing each other about once a year – so when you only get to actually hang out for a few days every year you really learn to appreciate the time together.
You don’t always have to party it up, a good chat can be really nice, over a glass of wine, a cup of tea, dinner, or some cake.
It can be easy to get stuck in work, and to be too busy to meet up with a friend every now and then, but it really is worth the time (even if it’s just for an hour or two).
