Judging by the amount of food pictures I pin on Pinterest and the degree of how much I love eating, it’s probably been a long time coming that I start writing a food column. In the past I always stayed away from that idea because proper food photography is incredibly hard. You can’t learn if you don’t try, right?
This recipe is one of the first recipes I cooked myself (with a little help from my mum). I still love it today, since it is so delicious and also incredibly easy! It’s a great choice if you want something nice without having to be in the kitchen for hours. The pasta is whole wheat and the rest of the ingredients (okay, apart from the sour cream) are super-healthy it also fits the theme of this blog (promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle – you probably can’t listen to me saying that anymore).
Ingredients: 500 g whole wheat pasta (I chose Farfalle), five small tomatoes, two peppers, 400 g canned tomatoes, one small onion, two cloves of garlic, 100 ml sour cream, salt, pepper, paprika, provencal herbs, rosemary, oregano.
Cook the pasta according to the packaging. Slice the onion and the cloves of garlic in small cubes. Halve the tomatoes and slice the peppers as well. Lightly braise the onion and the garlic for three minutes, then add the tomatoes and the peppers. After 5-10 minutes add the canned tomatoes and cook for about five minutes. After boiling, put in the sour cream. Season to your liking. Enjoy (maybe with a glass of wine?).
