It doesn’t happen often that I fall head over heels in love with a new blog, but when I visited We Resolve for the first time a few weeks ago, exactly that happened. The couple behind it are Lucy and Nate, newly-weds and wedding photographers from Sheffield in the north of England. As you can probably guess from the name, their blog is build around their resolutions for 2013, ranging from Eat Good Food to Capture Moments and Love God Always. It’s such a great concept in my opinion and reading their blog is definitely inspiring every time. I’m so happy that they agreed to take part in Everlasting Apparel and show you their favourite long-lasting garments. Welcome, Nate and Lucy!
We are so happy to be featured on Everlasting Apparel. We hardly ever never do outfit posts so it was fun to head out with someone else taking the photos and get to play around a bit.
Nate chose his shoes as his ‚forever‘ piece. They are probably our best charity shop find ever. We paid £8 for them in the shop and they were pretty much new. When we got home and googled the brand, it turned out they were from Spain and cost £180!
They’ve been on his feet pretty much every day since… Seriously, these bad boys serve as work wear, trekking through hospital wards and play wear, be that heading to church or out for drinks. They need re-heeling from time to time but otherwise should be timeless. Definitely firm favourites.
Lucy chose her Zara jumper. It has served her through three autumns and winters already, two of which were spent in student houses where turning the heating on for more than two hours a day is a no no. It is cosy and warm and perfect for wrapping up and heading out to crunch some leaves. I know that it is plain and that is part of why I love it. It acts as a perfect base layer for all manner of scarves, hats, shoes and other winter accessories. This is a magic jumper which makes the cold of winter a lot more enjoyable.
